The Asia-Pacific (APAC) Network Security market registered a flat growth of 3.5% on a YoY basis in Q1 2014, reaching a total market size of $531.4 million. The overall demand for network security from enterprises remained stable, driven by the increased concerns over the sophisticated threat landscape. Service provider verticals showed a strong YoY growth in the first quarter, reflecting a rising need to protect data center infrastructure and, in turn, to ensure secure customer service. The rising demand among service providers also indicated a continued shift among enterprises towards the choice of a service model, as more companies realized the need for expertise in handling cyber threats which are getting more and more complex.
