This research service analyses the economic aspects of the Brazilian Information and Communication Technologies Industry. It assesses how the present and future economy is expected to influence its development. Trends of economic indicators are identified and analyzed for their impact on the industry for the period 2000-2005 and forecasted for 2005-2009. Forecasts are based on prevailing conditions in Brazil and are subject to change.
