In the backdrop of an accelerating economy, the Polish ICT industry contributed a significant 5.5 percent to GDP in 2005. The industry has huge potential for foreign investment and growth. In the IT industry, growth in the software segment is overtaking the hardware segment, even as the services segment is witnessing exciting opportunities. In the telecommunications industry, growth of the mobile segment dominates the stagnating fixed line segment. This research service analyses how economic conditions are expected to influence the development of the Polish ICT Industry. Trends of the Polish economy and Polish ICT industry have been identified and analyzed for the period 2000-2005 and forecasted for 2006-2009.
