Strong economic growth and increasing public healthcare expenditure has contributed to the growth of healthcare industry in South Korea. The Government is currently focusing on upgrading the healthcare centres, increase the number of healthcare facilities and training programs for doctors. These are expected to result in increased coverage of healthcare services in both rural and urban areas. In addition, national healthcare expenditure is likely to get increased in the next few years due to aging population, growing health consciousness, and poor medical facilities.
