Polish energy profile is dominated by coal as it has huge coal reserves; however it is still not sufficient to satisfy the country’s energy demand. Economic stability, environmental quality, and resource sustainability are shifting Polish consumption trends toward natural gas and renewables. The Polish energy infrastructure is old and is ineffective in meeting the future energy needs, and it in the state of extensive rehabilitation. Infrastructure trends in coal, natural gas, electricity and renewable energy are analyzed.
