Description

The 2007-2011 five year plan is expected to have special emphasis on the provision of infrastructure at airports to cope up with the growth of the civil aviation industry. The overall growth in the air passenger traffic has been greater than expected and the growth cannot be sustained with the current airport infrastructure. Infrastructure modernization projects in several airports across the country and the government has been encouraging public private partnerships. Business opportunities from the airport modernization projects have been provided. Also, the offset policy has opened up opportunities for private firms to partner with the public sector defense units. Areas of possible partnerships have been mentioned in the research service.
