Description

This edition of the Industrial Bioprocessing TOE features information on the use of tailor-made enzymes to refine lignin in order to produce bio-based products that can effectively replace petroleum-based products. The TOE covers use of artificial intelligence-based agricultural robots to eliminate weeds and to reduce the use of pesticides. The other focal point of the TOE is the use of plant-based superfoods to enhance health of bees, thereby increasing pollination activities for increasing crop growth. The TOE additionally provides insights on the utilization of gram negative bacterial nanomachines for selective targeting of tumors in cancer patients. The TOE also provides latest innovations in the production of bio-polymers from aldehyde-assisted fractionation processes, the use of advanced oxidation processes for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, use of patented chemical recycling processes to extract light oil from end-of-life plastics, and the use of novel landfill gas recovery solutions for the production of highly pure biomethane.

The Industrial Bioprocessing TOE provides intelligence on technologies, processes and strategic insights of industries involving bioprocessing, including innovations in the development and production of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, alternative fuels, chemical feedstocks, food and beverages, and consumer products.

Keywords: Oxidation process, thermal anaerobic conversion, landfill gas recovery, agricultural robots, seawater-based carbon capture, bacterial nanomachines, aldehyde-assisted fractionation, biofuels, bio-methane
